Movie Review Mumbai: Horrific Massacre - Dramatic from the first moment

In 2008, a devastating massacre occurred in Mumbai, leaving behind horrific casualties and losses to Indians. The bombing and shootings killed more than 170 people in public places across the city. To commemorate the deceased victims and reenact the event to the audience, director Anthony Maras made the film Hotel Mumbai. A movie that brings many emotions to viewers. Cinema Angle reivew film Mumbai Hotel: The horrific massacre (Hotel Mumbai) before going to the cinema to enjoy it.

Synopsis The Mumbai hotel recreates the massacre in Mumbai, focusing on the incident at the Taj Mahal Palace. It all started when the terrorist group from Pakistan struck the city of Mumbai and caused a series of bombings and shootings on public places in the city. One of the last places terrorists target is the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel - the lavish symbol of Mumbai.

With a story full of emotions and impressive, director Anthony Maras only spent no more than the first 10 minutes slowly to introduce the context and characters, followed by sequentially suffocating episodes. . I was really immersed in the story in the first minutes, the director was too outstanding when recreating the first minutes of the shooting at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel lobby. A feeling of suspense and fear enveloped the audience in the theater when gunfire rang out. Guests and staff at the hotel collapsed, the terrorists coldly fired any target mobile.

According to course studies, AK gunfire and crying children are 2 of the 10 most annoying sounds for listeners. And in the movie, the combination of these two sounds and bloody images really pushed emotions to the climax, leaving a strong impression on the viewers.
How much of the opening act is the middle of the film. The sentence turned bland and dragged out after the terrorists began scouring for the survivors. It seems that the whole middle of the film does not have any really dramatic and charismatic details. All just around the actions and silly decisions of the victims hiding. The group of peaceful people in the safest hiding place pulled each other out to be shot and killed. Sally and David had previously agreed to stay in their own room as the safest, then a scene then eloquently runs out to the captive, who is locked up in a distracted way. Russian character Vasili, after being captured by terrorists, has been cursed with heroic blood and is beaten by them. Agree there may be times when in a panic there can be wrong decisions but these victims make their actions very calm and seem very assertive.

Mumbai hotel is not part of the hero movie tip to rescue victims in terrorist attacks like Die Hard or Passenger 57. The film is an appreciation of the brave spirit of the victims in this persecution. Each of these characters does not appear much, but their brave actions combined to create a beautiful and meaningful story.

Overall, the beginning and end of the film was directed by Anthony Maras quite well. The film ended up pleasing the audience and keeping the emotions after leaving the theater. Only the middle part of the movie was not well built, making me fall short of what the trailer introduced.

Interestingly, the film does not have any distinct protagonists, all of which serve as a basis for a common story. Particularly, only one character that I can assess the building script with depth and the most acting land belongs to the villain, Imran (played by Amandeep Singh). Do not know accidentally or intentionally, the director gave terrorist Imran a lot of acting land. Viewers will see the psychological evolution of this character from beginning to end. He coldly killed people like, how to love the family, what is the motive for action. Then there was frustration after being betrayed by the organization and finally the act of showing resignation at the end of the film.

The two characters Arjun (Dev Patel - who starred in the movie Millionaire Slum) and David (Armie Hammer - in the movie Call me by your name) in the trailer were introduced as two main characters but the film does not show much .

The visuals and sound in the movie was done quite well, greatly contributing to the film's success. Yesmovies with hot tones create frightening scenes and rejoice for the audience. Especially the use of the sound of gunfire to haunt the viewer is a successful tactic of the director.

Movie Hotel Review: Hotel Mumbai is a thrilling and exciting action film. Ignore some of the lack of logic and wandering, in general, the film has a good story and charismatic action scenes that will satisfy those who like dramatic action. A movie worth watching with friends and relatives to the cinema to enjoy.
